I just heard about the Archestra Apps Hackathon and wanted to participate, so I set up Archestra locally. Everything is running fine, but when I describe an app in chat using the Gemini API, I get a 429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED (quota exceeded) error.

Is this because I've reached the Gemini free-tier limit? Do I need a paid LLM API key to use Archestra properly during the hackathon, or is there a recommended free provider that most people are using?

Hey, yes. This is an issue with your api key and not archestra. Since you're using the free key, it will frequently hit the quota limit. If you want a smooth experience with the gemini key, you should buy some credits in the key.

If you want a free key with good resources, OpenRouter is a good option with the free models. I am open to any questions if you need help
