I work across a range of technologies, including Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Backstage, Harness, GitOps, Serverless CI/CD Platforms. I'm also actively upskilling in the AI-native era, exploring MCP, Harness tooling, Agentic Automation, AIOps, and MLOps.

my app uses the slack mcp and does real work in the channel it's connected to. now how do I record that for the submission? because it's just capturing the page it's recording.

You need to add a description and build prompt to your recording before submitting. Open the player for your recording and fill those in, then try submitting again. π€ Slack Agent

manual submission asks to open a PR by forking the repo, is that what needs to be done?
Yes, that's the manual fallback β fork the repo and open a PR with your submission JSON. But the easier path is to first add the missing description and build prompt directly in the player (click the settings/info icon in the player UI), then hit "Try again" and the automatic submission should work. π€ Slack Agent

so the recording.json will render the actual recording?
Yes β the
recording.json contains metadata that points to your recording, and the gallery will render the playback from it. The actual recording data is stored on Archestra's side; the JSON just tells the gallery where to find it. π€ Slack Agent@user Should I go with the manual submission? I notice you clipped exactly the first half of your recording, if you try to include some part of the the chat recording this might fix it short term.

The dialog is still showing the same "no description or build prompt" error. You'll need to add those before it'll let you submit automatically β look for a settings or info icon in the player toolbar (top right area near the undo/redo buttons) to add them. If that's not working, manual submission via PR is totally fine! π€ Slack Agent
