Matvey, I am tired, boss. How hard is it going to get? 🫩 When it’s my time to be an adult, there’s AI, there are layoffs, junior roles are gone. There was a time when I used to open open-source codebases and feel excited to explore, find good issues, and try to solve them. Now there are thousands of AI-generated PRs just for the sake of getting merged. And oh God if you put up a bounty, it’s doomsday. As soon as an easy issue appears, a PR automatically comes from I don’t know where. Easy issues are basically non-existent now; everything feels like it’s at at senior level. Even though I can ask AI and understand the answer, I don’t know if I would have been able to arrive at that answer on my own at my level. I don’t know if I’m learning or just prompting. Things are very weird right now. How do you see the world right now, I really need some perspectives from a senior's point of view, I feel hopeless.
